Herbpress was born from a challenge: how can we bring the precision of espresso into the world of botanical infusions? A patented technology by Wilden Herbals, developed in collaboration with IMS Filtri—a global leader in the production of filters and accessories for espresso machines—designed to turn a classic espresso machine into an innovative tool for extracting herbal teas and plant-based beverages.

Precision and performance, cup after cup. Herbpress revolutionizes infusion by adapting traditional espresso machines with an innovative system developed thanks to the expertise of IMS Filtri, a global leader in the field.

The Herbpress system allows for fast and precise preparation of herbal teas and infusions, with serving sizes ranging from an espresso cup to a cappuccino cup.

This system integrates seamlessly with existing espresso machines, without any invasive modifications, making it ideal for professional and commercial environments. At the core of Herbpress is a precision-engineered single-outlet filter, featuring a 150-micron photo-etched membrane. Combined with a custom diffuser, it ensures a uniform extraction under controlled pressure between 8 and 9 bars. The result? No residue, maximum yield, flawless consistency.

Ethnobotanical research — the heart of the project

At the heart of Herbpress lies an in-depth ethnobotanical research project aimed at rediscovering  traditional preparations and the local emblematic plants. In collaboration with the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo and Simbiosi, this research is shaping new blends inspired by local herbal traditions, currently under development.

A journey that honors ancestral knowledge related to the use of herbs—therapeutic, culinary, and experiential—while supporting biodiversity, regenerative agriculture, and sustainable production models.

Thanks to the collaboration with Simbiosi —an environmental innovation center that regenerates agricultural land by integrating nature and technology to create sustainable, high-biodiversity ecosystems—Wilden Herbals will develop innovative cultivation techniques designed to reduce environmental impact, restore soil fertility, and foster the creation of ecological niches that enrich the entire agroecosystem.
